K close thread.
In the first one, that last fight my frames dropped down to 11-17fps lmao but I had the game on the highest settings with RT enabled, just to see what it would look like XD the rest of the game though, even when I had RT on, it rarely dropped below 90fps. Just that one fight was so graphically chaotic.
With DLSS I can get 80-90 but it completely takes the fluid motion and atmosphere out of the game. I'm not streaming so I don't need 60fps. And this is on lowest settings. So, i'm sorry friend but, your system may well sadly not be up to the task on this one. :(
unfortunately this is going to happen more and more with games. I foresee pretty soon even 12gb VRAM not being enough for UE5 games and the impending photorealism. Which I imagine on 4k this game is very close, if not there.
Best advice I can give is take advantage of sales when you can and go for an AM4/intel equivalent cpu and MOBO, a GPU with at least 12, ideally 16gb VRAM and at bare minimum 16gb DDR4 RAM. It sucks but soon it will be all new games that require hardware like this. Look for amazon monthly payment deals, prime day coming soon, cyber monday etc. That's the only way I was able to build this PC. Never would have been able to afford it otherwise.
Best of luck! Looks like other people may be getting similar problem, although I really do not believe the i9/4090 person lol I hope you can make it work! Worst case may work out in the long run though, you may be able to get the game for under 10 bucks or something on sale when you are able to upgrade. You're going to have to eventually, if you want to play new games. Try your best to get 16bg VRAM. Not 7600XT, that GPU is not going to be good enough for future titles. It's a scam card. Works for now but its clock speeds will not be good enough when games are so demanding that they actually need 16bg VRAM for headroom.
7800XT seem like a promising option. I don't think it will stay at 500 bucks for long. So lame they didn't make the 7700XT have 16gb. Even the 7800 is kinda a scam card though, it's pretty much the exact same card as the 6800 non XT. The 6800XT beats it in almost all tests. But it does have latest architecture and I do think that will mean something eventually. But the 6800 especially rn is a very good deal. Disappearing fast though.
AMD, Nvidia, doesn't seem to matter. Neither have the average consumer in mind. Well, sorry you have fallen subject to my curse of never being able to type anything short lol so I'll leave it here. Make sure to do lots of research, even email some IT people. Wish I could help with the technical stuff but I am a total noob to PC stuff. Only reason I even feel confident enough to comment on the subject is due to having done
Again, so sorry you are not able to enjoy this game :( I am crushed for all the people who are locked out. But we can't stop the future, right? It's here and it's not about to slow down. If you check out PCBuilder on yt, he has a recent video of a solid 1080p build for 500 that could play this game on low settings. Especially with frame gen. But ppl really don't need 60fps to get a playable experience. I have not had a single stutter or lag, dipping down even into the 40's. And it still looks gorgeous.
Prime day isn't far off and before you know it, it'll already be black friday/cyber monday. There will be some awesome deals in store for the smart bargain hunter. Although another GPU shortage may be imminent unfortunately. With all the political nonsense going on, trade disruptions are causing alot of trouble. Mid range GPU's are disappearing fast and nothing new is coming in stock to replace it. For now. Guess we wil have to see.
Perhaps a friend has an xbox X? Just a possible alternative. well I will spare you lol really wish you the best of luck! Sorry to hear you and so many other people having trouble with the extremely demanding specs of this game. It will be worth the wait if you are a true fan. Don't spoil it for yourself just in case!
Patience is a virtue! Peace
There's already a topic about this specific crash which has the fix in the OP.
Even using such abomination as Steam search it would pop on the first page.
ok mate doing it and um.. whats the op you are talking aboout
