"Walking simulator" "Game is trash" Please STOP Doom Posting
Ninja Theory has made a masterpiece game. I am only one hour in and I am so amazed at the graphics, the story, the combat ect. I'm tired of seeing the "its a walking simulator, it seems like a massive flop, its only 5 hours long, great movie, terrible game, $50 for this short game?"

This game is in line with plague tale innocence and Requiem, Detroit become human, beyond two souls, ect. Games that are story focused, narrative driven with some combat and puzzles added. This is a great game and a true labor of love from Ninja Theory. Also, a game released in 2024 that has an amazingly written female main character with no added modern decisive political drivel propaganda check boxes throughout the story.

If you don't like it, don't play it. There are plenty of other games to play on steam. Why waste time doom posting about a game you do not like nor have any desire of playing on here? I want to thank the Ninja Theory team for making this game and I look forward to many more games from them in the future.

Sounds are not masterpiece too. Story is not novel and therefore not masterpiece either.

Guess I'll go check some Youtube vids OP, because you aren't giving much detail beyond being triggered.

I actually enjoy the combat. Its pretty much the same as HB1. Every swing shows Senua's emotion on the face, body language, audio ect, I feel it is well done, its almost like watching a cinematic movie while controlling the protagonist, which I feel is the direction they tried to go. The perry system, dodge/roll and block system is quiet enjoyable. I do like how the difficulty is dynamic also.

Well i don't want to spoil the game for you. No, not triggered at all, just trying to balance out the negative posts with a positive post. Enjoy your day.

Ok for the graphic, but sound and specially story aren't masterpiece.

Sounds are normal if not flat for most the game i played(for what i understand i miss the last "chapter"), effects aren't anything special, music isn't anything particular and in some places where could be some music is missing, specially during the walking with the npc.

For the story, the personalization of Senua is really good, stereotypically story about family and others, but overall not bad.

The problem is everything outside Senua, the two Giants i played have really boring story, specially the second which is really rushed.

The "companions" have barely a personality or are really stereotypical, only Thórgestr seems to have a little of personality growth, but is barely noticeable.

The others if wasn't for some combat scene and the Ritual preparations, you will not even notice their presence or absence.

I doubt the last part of the game will fix this, so is hard to talk of masterpiece for this part of the game.

No problem.

The game isn't bad like some people are saying, but considered the story and music are the main part, music must used more and for story Developers need to remember not exist only Senua.

I'm really on the fence about getting this one, but as usual the steam forums aren't the place to go to for level-headed opinions :claugh:

I am also a hour in and I'm liking it so far as well. Played it on a desktop and laptop, runs good, story is interesting, combat is a little scripted but still interesting/different than most games these days. I also liked the first game and played it when it was launched a few times through, and when the ray tracing patch hit I played it a bit more. Only down side to that game was the traversal stuttering between areas. This game seems not to suffer in that area which is a huge plus. Have to play more. It's just a different kind of game then most people are used to, some people like it, some don't.
