The industry made them haters. The industry as a whole has taken advantage of players time and time again. It sets up the situation for when the 'industry' has something that the player considers to be a failure, they are going to jump on that. As they have been standing on that edge and can't move back from it.
1 things wrong, may be a minor inconvenience. But if that minor inconvenience hits you time and time again, it starts to not be minor. Resulting in a blow out so to speak.
Well that's just it - I came here wanting to see some interesting discussion about the game. I suppose it was interesting, just not in the way I expected lol
That makes some sense, thank you for that explanation. Don't think it covers it completely but I get it
And what is making them, haters? because they don't like the game? is everyone supposed to like/love this game just because you like it? well, you enjoy playing it on your Steam Deck.
It's overpriced for overprices sake. Heard it was a downgrade from the first and is even shorter than the first. So, what is there to like? besides it looking okay?
This is not worth the selling price. The Dev doesn't care and knows this. They just want to charge a lot for no other reason but greed. Seems like a cash grab game, too.
7 or whatever years to make a 5–6-hour long game? I bet most of that time was wasted on the graphics/cinematic crap. It even runs at 30 FPS on the Xbox Series X....
I thought the Xbox Series X and PS5 where next gen? super-fast loading, strong etc but not really. Games have to be released with presets half the time (quality or FPS focused) these games barely ever run at 60 FPS... so, they aren't that strong/next gen, well current gen.
We can't support overpriced games like this. It isn't about just "hating" on something. There's always more to something than meets the eye. But people are quick to judge and assume without doing much research.
You got 0 value out of this game. By the game you feel it's useless to press "W" you should aknowledge that this game is not for you. You did good.
This game is worth every minute of my time, I deeply enjoyed it and would play it again. Fortunately for the studio, not all people expect a fun game with fun game mechanics. Some of us expect to be hooked to the character and the struggle.
I love stories, very much, and most of all, I love good stories. This game was definitely for me.
They are sad people that want to watch something others care about fall.
The whole thing is bunch of depressed haters that get off on ruining it for everyone, constantly circle jerking each other about how pathetic devs are and how pathetic the games are…(they are projecting their lives and viewpoint of themselves onto these games…otherwise they wouldn’t have even put that much effort in hating on the game in the first place)
Reasonable people will just say, “well it wasn’t for me” and move on.
People that get off on negativity and have a hidden agenda do all of this hating and such…the internet is a cesspool of negativity anyways…so don’t expect much more, other than your occasional wholesomeness and happiness/positivity hidden in the corners.
Nobody takes away your happiness here.
I paid 1€ for it (Gamepass) and have 29 days left, but that's the fault of Microsoft, if there was no other way, I would've paid 50€ and wouldn't be sad either.
But I still think we should be allowed to voice disappointment, I really thought a dev like Ninja Theory would finally return to greatness with Hellblade 2.
I loved Heavenly Sword and thought they would introduce a combat system that's deeper than a puddle with Hellblade 2, sadly they didn't and the game is even shorter than the first one.
You just used the term incel and it just defined exactly what you are lol. Imagine white knighting an imaginary character bro.
This isn't Reddit, you don't get good boy points for it here
I also think that people are misjudging Hellblade, saying it is bad.... The thing is, this is not a game where you run around with a sword like Rambo and level up pickpocketing by putting a bowl on an NPC's head. This game is an interactive movie, where you delve into the story and experience it.
If you dislike the game because it is linear and not packed with dragons and dogs barking through their asses, then that sounds like a you problem. This genre is just not for you.
This game is designed for three playthroughs. In the first playthrough, you get to know the story from Senua's perspective. In the second, your followers act as narrators, providing their point of view. In the third one Druth is the narrator. I am currently playing through the game a third time and enjoying every second of it.
I am so hooked on the story and cinematic experience that I think I will play it for the 4'th time tommorow again.
If you liked Requiem, you will most likely enjoy this game. If you are into Norse mythology and not the Marvelshitshow that wasn't even standing next to the norse mythology, you will love it even more.
This game focuses on the story, allowing you to explore and think about what is actually happening, not just in Senua's mind. The graphics are stunning, making it a pleasure to look at the beautiful landscapes while listening to the narrator unfold the story.
I thought of downsides during my first playthrough like, I didn't like the ending as much as I expected, and I hoped for more to be said about Senua being a Seidkona.
But after the 2'nd playthrough with another narrators I started to get a grip on the story and what is actually happening I liked it even more than after the first playthrough.
Overall, it would be a sin to give this game less than a 9/10.
But now during my third playthrough I couldn't give it less than 10/10 with a clear concience.
You only Like it this much because its in the Pass for free.
This is what MS wants... People only pay 12Dollar a Month to Play Mediocre Games but are Not angry about it because they dont pay 60Dollar for a Mediocre Game.
The Gamepass enjoyers also wants a new Halo... even If the Last few ones wer complete Trash xD
Free Food from a Bad Restaurant taste good because its free but If you need to pay for it you will hate it.
And this is what makes it so disturbing.
People will be Happy with Mediocre Games and If the Graphics are good they will Like IT because the Brain was Not hurt AS much by a high Price
