Best practices for reporting issues!
Hi everyone!

Welcome to the MASSIVE CHALICE Early Access release! We are really excited to share the development process with you and to get your feedback.

In order to streamline feedback and bugs we would like to ask for your help in adhering to the following when creating a new topic:

When reporting an issue:

- It would be best if you are reporting bugs to post in our official forum here:

http://www.doublefine.com/forums/viewforum/76/

This will allow us to keep track of everything much more efficiently.

OR

You can send us your bug report through the support@doublefine.com address. When you do so, please include [BUG] and MASSIVE CHALICE in the title.

- BEFORE reporting a bug, please ensure that you meet all of the game's minimum requirements and have the latest drivers installed for you computer. We may have to ask for your system information to confirm this.

- If you don’t think that your bug has been reported please create a new thread. Doing this will provide a nice clean platform for us to respond and track the issue.

- When making a new thread to report your bug start the thread title with [Bug] and then a sort description of the bug in the title.

- Don’t report your new bug in a thread that was created for a different bug. This will most likely result in your bug getting lost in the shuffle.

What should be in the bug report:

- When reporting a bug, please be a descriptive as possible when talking about the bug. Any screenshots and or save files will be immensely appreciated. Save files can be sent to support@doublefine.com.

- If you are sending us any files to the support@doublefine.com address, please link any forums posts that it may be related to.

- A helpful thing to include would be your system specifications. Please include your dxdiag, Mac system report, or Linux equivalent. You can also send your system info gather from Steam. That option will be in the Steam client's "help" tab.

Hopefully, if we all adhere to these guidelines we will be able to streamline and respond to everyone's thoughts and issues quickly and efficiently.

Thank you!

We've also set up a separate forum for reporting issues here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/246110/discussions/1/

It would be a great help if when you encounter a crash, you also send us the minidump. You can find them following these steps:

1) Go to your game's install directory (on Steam, right-click game name in Library, Select Properties, Local Files, Browse Local Files)
2) Find the files with the extension mdmp (if you have extensions turned off, they will likely be named something such as 'mc_1_crash_2015_DATESTAMP')
3) Place it in your favorite file-sharing site (dropbox, probably)
4) Send us an email at support@doublefine.com with a link to the file or attached in the email itself if it's small enough (under 2MB). Don't forget to include the usual system information as with other bugs.

The minidump file is just the callstack of the crash and shouldn't contain any personal information.
