Have you ever thought of putting them in a room and then having a construction guy tear down the wall suffocating them? Then build the wall again. Of course you have to close and lock the door to the room but I think that would work fine. Well maybe you can put them in a room after thinking about it more but I am sure you could do something like that if need be.
Ill look into it more to see if you can shutdown the comm system perhaps, but it needs a negative aspect to it to keep balance.

Ok, ill try and dedicate a couple of days on the new patch this week. Super stressed out with moving stuff, but im on it. I did setup a Patreon, away from Derelict Games, but I think ill keep it sorted for now because Its dedicated to creating NEW games, not patches for Spacebase.
Im still here!

I hope all goes well with the bug fixes. I dont know if its just in my current playthrough or it happens often but my security teams have bugged to hell. I add ppl to them but they dont actually join. they just patrol and their name reappears on the edit list. Sometimes other crew members take their place (even if it is fun to see a Doctor and a Bartender runnint to "Eliminate Hostiles" lol.
Also some of the rooms stop staying assigned after loading a save and some crew are somewhow assigned to more than one.
Anyway even so youve done great work and I look fwd to the new update
Whats your procedure on creating security teams?
From memory, It should be:
Add security as a job to the person.
Open Security and create new team (at the bottom)
Add to security team
move the people from the right to the left to add them to the team and save
You should be able to add the security tag wherever.
If others are joining the security team, its got to be a programming error somewhere because ive never heard of that one. Maybe make a copy of your game then reinstall the 1.06 then add the patch, then check the security teams of the security in the save game.

And it keeps staying even after 2 clean reinstall.
Same for 2 people I know.
So I assumed that it's a common bug.
After trial and error, one can find which citizens are buggy, so they can be left on patrol out of a team.
The other non-buggy security officers can be swap from team to team without a problem. I swapped them a lot, because just one injured officer can prevent a whole team to enter an unreclaimed area.
But some officers can become buggy after new citizens have joined the colony.
Also sometimes, the game crashes when swapping officers from a team to the security pool.
If its in vanilla, there might not be a hell of a lot i can do, but i can definitely check though.

What can I do to help you otherwise?
Upload of the whole directory + save file(s)?
shoot through the save file and a brief description of where its happening (like, who its happening with and the steps you took to get to that) so i can recreate it or at least see where its happening.

Sadly, I didnt update the git repo with my last batch of updates, so im going to have to start again. Good thing I remember where most of the problems are to fix them up quickly.
