I missed the first opportunity to pick up the Loupe

confused for a while because I could view the code but could not modify it.
I assumed I had to exit the room to get the Loupe
It wasn't until I restarted the room I realized there was an opportunity to pick it up. If you miss it, you can't pick it up because the gate is in the way

Yeah, I just recently noted this as a bug, so hopefully they have it documented and written up. You can actually run back and forth (left to right) in front of the door and spam E, and Bob will grab the Loupe eventually.

This bug still affects the game once Isis leaves the room you can no longer pick up the Loupe item.

Just going to point out that even if you do get hit with this, you can always use the time amulet to warp back to the infinite woods and work though that maze again. If it takes to long, ramp up the game speed to -15 and Alice's movement to 1000 and you can zip through pretty quick!

So, as suggested in replay #4, rewind time and try that bit again.

note that you can rewind back to your current room, saving you a trip through the forest.
the bug still exists, FWIW
