Apologies for the delay! The patch actually went out on Friday, just after we finished our shift. We appreciate your feedback, and here are the patch notes for the update:
Patch Notes:
Accessibility Improvements:
Added options to the Accessibility Menu for better customization:
Toggle Tutorials: Turn tutorials On/Off.
Toggle Assist Animations: Turn assist animations On/Off.
Toggle Screen Shake: Turn screen shake On/Off.
Toggle Hit Stops: Turn hit stops On/Off. (Note: Hit stops are now Off by default as many players felt they impacted performance and didn’t enhance combat feel.)
Gameplay Adjustments:
The Score Meter now penalizes significantly more when you take damage.
Reduced life drops (health pickups) for high mutagen levels (60+ and 80+).
Increased enemy damage at mutagen levels 60+ and 80+ to make combat more challenging.
New Feature:
Colorblind Mode: A new mode to enhance visual accessibility.
General Updates:
Various quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes for a smoother experience.
I hope this clears things up! Let us know if you need any further information. Thanks again for your input.
Best,
Outright Games Team
I understand the target audience but all the same it would do this game favors and it's crazy because this method has existed since the original Devil May Cry over 20 years ago on PS2.
On another note I think more of this game's side missions should be playable in co-op and i think the camera and co-op in general should be looked at, should have mind you been being looked at by now, they were huge points of contention in reviews, there's still crazy invisible walls in co-op, the camera is still a mess at points, lock-on should probably be activated/deactivated with a button press instead of something that automatically happens, i can't tell you how many times I've meant to knock an object in a specific direction only for it to derail and not even hit the enemy the game forced me to lock onto.
I need to double check if the mutagen bugs were ever fixed, the vampire's kiss one still makes the turtles damage voice clips loop ad nauseam and I've had some goofy deaths and somehow Resurrection bugs using it like the damage calculator just stops being able to make sense of it.
The load times in general but especially on Nintendo Switch need serious work, I appreciate some of the changes made and the attempts here, but y'know same things I've been saying.
This game is a really cool concept and way more of an effort than you would expect for a simple kids game, but it never seems to go all the way, unfortunately and I'm not really counting on the publisher or devs to invest in fixing it much further.
Just one of those neat ideas that never got the polish it needed and now we're gonna be back to thrill ride nostalgic beat em ups for the time being i guess.
Happy Holidays though I'd love to be wrong.
