Yep. May as well have no co-op if it's not online.

Right, I'm not buying with no online co op that's for sure. Not at full price anyway. I'll probably pick it up when they make the delisting announcement like they always do with tmnt games.

Y'all gameplay has been uploaded to Youtube, this is deeper than I expected it to be, it is very much TMNT persona, but also a bit of a character action, this game is clearly not depending on it's multiplayer element, I can easily see why it's not present, the dev has never made an online game before and netcode is difficult and then on top of that a lot of this game is very dialogue and social heavy, online would likely not be as fun as you think it is, only one person walks around the hub world and the second player seems to be able to join for the action bits, but again this game doesn't even look like it really relies on co-op in the same way that Shredder's Revenge or Splintered Fate do, it comes across more like a bonus feature here than the essential or standard way to play.

To be fair if they have already developed the game to support a local co-op play depending on what engine they used(I can't find that information anywhere) they can implement it via plugins that are pretty much drop in and tweak to fit. UE and Unity have very easy to implement networking options especially when it comes to games like this.

If the gameplay is as you say a lot of fans of TMNT will be unhappy regardless. I'm all for an immersive TMNT game but when I think of immersive TMNT game I think a co-op TMNT game that plays like Sunset Overdrive.
