Childrens Game?
I vibe with the new artstyle, I can accept changes to the characters somewhat, younger and new fans will enjoy the TMNT redesign, Beebop and Rocksteady look good imo, although yall absolutely did april and splinter DIRTY. The dialogue is pretty bad, but its a childrens game right?
There are some strangely mature themes, I dont think these are necessary, the subplot of minority acceptance and some language policing within the first few minutes of the game are an odd choice for a game aimed at children as young as 10, and could have been left out altogether in favor of a richer main story involving what is going on with the 'franken mutants'.
I only played just past meeting beebop and rocksteady (they look good imo) so I cant give my full opinion on the games entire story or other character redesign choices

I agree I played up to that point as well. Not sure I enjoy the "wokeness" of the game. I'll probably delete the game shortly after this post.

Nah its good fun.
Sure it might be aimed at a younger audience - which is what TMNT was aimed at when i first encountered them. As they should - why should they constantly try to target older grown men. It should aim to try to appeal to a new generation of kids as well. This is a game i can play with my kids. They love it. I love it. They now want Turtles toys for Christmas and want to dress up as turtles. Mission accomplished in my opinion.

It is a slow burn though. It takes few hours to get into the meat of the game so i'd say where you got to isn't it.

"constantly" try to target older grown men?

The only adult-themed TMNT products have been the Michael Bay movies, IDW run and a bunch of 1987 nostalgia-targeting money grabs.

The rest have ranged from decent attempts to bring in a new generation (2003 and 2012) to recent cringe woke-fests like Rise and Mutant Mayhem.
