Dice Tower only when you try to get the Relics and fully spec your loadout for it.
- flame thrower is cheaper and smaller so can be built to handle first few rounds while saving up gold for bigger guns.
- it has much larger area covered when used on range boost, which allows more flexible tower locations to apply fire effect rapidly.
- when used with relics like larva bucket that requires chance, the high rate of fire and area coverage of flame thrower really shines.
- with the relic that applies chill effect for fire towers, the high rate of fire ensures the area covered is always chilled and slowed down, which is essential for crowd control.
- it is small and can easily fit anywhere in a tighter maze for full area fire coverage.
- it chase down target within range so its firepower won't be idle as much as passive larva.
Medium: Snowball and Boulder.
Large: Decimate and Starfall.
I'll 2nd this. Feed Me, Seymour is one hungry, hungry hippo that does amazingly well at slowing down bigguns.
It isn't a favorite though, more like a "better than" or a "have to if I must".
I enjoy the meteor showers, but the big lightning with any sort of boost tile is some mighty fine instant disappear. The small AOE freezer and the small flame work nice too.
I'd have to say the best are poison for me though so far. Big, Small, BAr across the top or option on a tower... Turn all manner of green ye menace. Nothing beats a good melting...
I'm still discovering ins and outs and synergies and the only thing I *do* know for sure is that I really, really detest the Dice towers. I really do.
When they work, they're OK. When they don't you have to sell them off because I can't have that big butted thing taking up all that space after its critical fail just cost me 50 bucks because reasons.
I have a house rule... A 1x1 dice tower has to be 4 or better, and a big one has to have double digits. Not a bad house rule, you say..? Let me introduce you to RNGesus. He likes to watch you boil as you run through 120 gold to get 1 (..ONE..) single 1x1 dice tower because miracles are for other people.
Good times... ?BP
Cheers..!
Interesting, I feel like I've tried to use the mine tower but it's never gone super well for me, maybe I need to try building around it some time.
