Towerborne Early Access: Known Issues
A High Number of 'New Items' in Inventory May Result in a Crash When Opening the Forge

What is the issue?
The game can crash when opening the Forge if the player has too many “New Item” badges on items.

Is there a workaround?
Viewing or flagging items for dismantling before opening the Forge may reduce the crash risk.

How is this being handled?
We are working on a fix for this issue.


Ace Rank Does Not Immediately Appear

What is the issue?
When entering the Belfry, the player Ace Rank may temporarily appear as 0.

Is there a workaround?
Ace Rank should appear within a few minutes of play. We are working on a longer term fix for this.

How is this being handled?
We are working on a fix for this issue.


Group Invites Not Working Cross-platform

What is the issue?
Players are currently unable to invite players from a different platform into their Group. ex. Currently, a player on Steam cannot invite a player on Xbox, and vice versa.

Is there a workaround?
Not at this time.

How is this being handled?
We are hard at work on a fix for this issue.


Viridian Vault Curio is Not Visible on Steam for Game Pass Players with Linked Accounts

What is the issue?
For players who are subscribed to Game Pass and who have linked their account to a Steam profile: The Viridian Vault Curio is currently only visible when viewing on the Xbox or PC Game Pass platform.

Is there a workaround?
Progress on this Curio can only be done on Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass at this time.

How is this being handled?
We are working on a fix for this in a future update.


Login Issues

What is the issue?
Some players are blocked from entering the game and presented with an error code. This is most frequently associated with error codes [GFR-TRV-0500] or [GFR-LGN-0503]. Some players may be blocked temporarily, while others have reported being blocked on a persistent basis.

Is there a workaround?
A few steps that may help resolve this issue:

Completely shutting down Steam via the Task Manager
When you close Steam, the app itself may not be completely shut down. Pressing the "X" at the top right of the page will not close out of Steam completely, it will minimize to your Task Bar. To completely close out of Steam, please follow the steps below:

  1. Hold the Ctrl + Shift + Esc keys on your keyboard
  2. Select Task Manager from the list
  3. The Task Manager screen will pop up on your computer
  4. Select "Steam" from the Apps list
  5. Select the [End Task] button
  6. Scroll down to Background processes
  7. Locate Steam, and Steam Client Services (these should both have the Steam logo visible) and End Task on each one

Steam should be completely closed and ready for you to restart by opening Steam once again.

Uninstalling and Reinstalling Towerborne
If the workaround above does not resolve the issue, some players have found success through fully uninstalling and reinstalling the game.

How is this being handled?
We are actively working on identifying the root cause of these errors. While previous patches have eliminated this issue for many players, we know that some of you are still blocked. If you find yourself in this situation, please file a Player Support ticket including your player log files. This is incredibly helpful in tracking down the root cause of this issue, so any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!


IPv6 May Prevent Players From Entering the Game - Starlink & other services.

What's the issue?
Players utilizing an internet provider that defaults to IPv6 (ex. Starlink, some mobile providers) may be unable to enter the game and receive an error message such as LGN-LOB-001.

What's the workaround?
Disabling IPv6 may allow players to enter the game.

Please note that this may cause some Windows components and/or internet services to function incorrectly until it's re-enabled. Steps on how to disable IPv6 are located here: https://towerborne.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/31923987419533-Disabling-IPv6

How is it being fixed?
We are aware of the issue and are currently investigating further.


Using Alt+Tab While in Game May Result in Softlock

What's the issue?
Some players are experiencing an issue in which controls become unresponsive after having used alt+tab to navigate to other Windows applications while in the game.

What's the workaround?
If you find yourself in this situation, the best solution is to restart the game.

How is it being fixed?
We are aware of the issue and are currently investigating further. A fix will be implemented when we’ve located the root cause.
