Towerborne Early Access: FAQ
Is Steam Deck supported?
Towerborne is officially Steam Deck Playable!

This means that while the game performs well, you might need to tweak a few settings or customize controls to achieve your ideal gameplay experience—so adventure-on-the-go is fully within reach, with just a little personalization.

We're still working towards official Steam Deck Verified status, but don't yet have a date to share.

Can I play Solo?
Absolutely! Towerborne is designed to let you play solo. All missions are solo-friendly, with enemy difficulty scaling with more players.

Can I play Offline?
Towerborne requires an internet connection. The game is designed to be played online at all times, including solo mode.

How do I play with friends?
You can team up with friends by sending them a party invite from the social menu in the game. Once in the same group, you can take on missions together.

Founders Packs: How do I claim my Exclusive items?
You can claim your Founders Pack items by going to the Belfry in-game, opening the Store menu, selecting the items, and hitting “Claim.”

Monthly Bonus: Do I need to claim the Monthly Founders rewards each month?
UPDATE: With the release of Update 4, you may now log in at any time to claim all previous Monthly Founder’s Bonuses.

Items that are granted as a Monthly Founder’s Bonus may appear again in the future in the store for purchase, but will not be granted again for free.

Full Wipes: Will progress be reset during Early Access? What happens to my stuff?
There will be a single full progress wipe during Early Access when the game is released to Game Preview on Xbox in early 2025. ALL Founder's Pack items and any COSMETIC ITEMS purchased or were granted will carry over.

What about Cosmetic items I've received from Ogden's Cache, or Cosmetic items I've purchased with Writs? Will those be wiped?
Absolutely not. As stated above, ANY cosmetics, emotes, or stickers you have received will never be wiped from your account if we need to do a progression wipe.

Cross-progression: If I play on Steam now, can I transfer to other platforms later?
Yes, Towerborne supports cross-platform progression. This means that your progress will carry over when the game launches on other platforms.

Localization: When will my language be supported?
More languages will be added over time, though we can’t provide specific timelines yet. We're committed to broadening language support as we grow.

What is a Curio?
A Curio consists of items that can be unlocked using Writs, a currency earned in-game by completing daily job quests and ventures. A Curio Core is the key to unlock the ability to earn those items.

Once you've progressed far enough into the main story, you will unlock the Curio tab in the menu. Prior to this quest, it will not be visible.

Do Curios expire?
Once you obtain a Curio, you keep the ability to purchase its items forever. However, if you miss the chance to get a particular Curio, it might take a long time to come back—or the items could become available only through the premium store. As a reminder, there are two types:

Free Curios: These may include things like Dust, which is currency used for upgrading weapons;

Premium Curios: These require a Curio Core (a premium item) to unlock, but they will never include anything that affects player progression.

Can I hide my helmet?
Yes! You can hide your helm. The option for this is located on the loadout overview screen. Use LS press on controller, and 1 on the keyboard to toggle visibility of your helmet.

Grandeur Writs
What are Grandeur Writs?
Grandeur Writs are a special currency only available through the duration of the Grandeur Event. They are used to unlock special seasonal cosmetic items available during this time.

How do I earn Grandeur Writs?
Grandeur Writs can be earned by completing the quest ‘A Grand Plan’, through the Aurora Ridge Venture, and by completing standard challenges across the map.

Please note: Replaying the ‘A Grand Plan’ quest is not necessary to play through the Aurora Ridge venture on subsequent attempts.

How can I earn MORE Grandeur Writs?
Completing challenges on higher Danger Level settings awards more Writs.
