So I found a way to make it UW, used a guide, and did some other stuff. Honestly, I don't see where it's broken. Enemies don't just randomly appear out of thin air anywhere or anything like that. I've managed to play it normally like anyone else.

Ultrawide on a side-scrolling game is really stupid from a game design perspective, on areas where the map turns into a ramp, you'd see nothing but black background, or the edge of artwork that is not meant to be shown. You would also see enemies spawn out of thin air instead of "outside" of the camera as it is intended.

The sooner you start to realize that ultrawide is not meant for every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, the sooner you'll stop making these stupid posts on every single game release.

Also, is it necessary you be reminded that you make up less than 10% or 5% of the entire steam community when you talk about ultrawide? you are neither the majority or the future of gaming. Not everyone wants an ultrawide monitor, normal people at most would rather enjoy two monitors.
I'll keep giving feedback so devs can decide if they want to engage in changes or not, not saying anything isn't helping, it's hindering decision making on the developers side

you on the other hand currently actively try to hurt their decision making by telling us to shut up while the topic as a non uw user doesn't even tangent you at all, great job!

Don't worry too much the guy is a loser, I'm on your side for supporting all monitors.
have to be full T to be against it.

You are in the abysmal minority of players that own an ultrawide monitor and decided "hey, I'm going to rage and cry if EVERY GAME ON THE MARKET IS NOT ULTRA WIDE."

You need to first of all understand what games benefit from ultrawide and not just demand every game have it. You'll be a much happier person once you accept that.

this is like crying that devs "waste their time" adding ultra settings to their graphics options when only a small minority of gamers have computers strong enough to get use out of them. if youre broke and still playing on postage stamp resolution, then let that be the case but i see no benefit in lobbying for LESS options from devs lmao.

Because it's not as simple as:
Ultrawide: ON

The literal camera, enemy spawns, walkable area of the map, everything would need to change just to accommodate the 5% of players that own one of these monitors.

The amount of dev-time required to change all of this for the present and future of the game is not worth investing in MOST of the time.

If it was up to me, I would add an ultrawide "option" that displays your stats and quests on the sides, but I would still not expand the screen as that would require way too many changes to the core gameplay.

walkable area of the map? what are you talking about? are there portions of the map currently that are not "walkable?" You clearly have no idea what youre talking about. I mod ultrawide into games quite often with older titles or titles that didnt seem to bother and there are many people on github who are great at implementing ultrawide day one into many titles in a matter of a workday. youre wildly overestimating the work and effort required to garner thousands more gamers to potentially buy your game

I'm playing it in full UW on 32:9. The camera is fine. The enemy spawns never just appear. They always come in from the bottom or top of the map, even off screen for normal resolutions. The walkable area stop's short about an inch on both sides which is BARELY an issue.

It took me all but 5 minutes to implement this UW fix. Nothing about this is broken. lol

Also, 5% of 1 million users, is still 50,000 players.

They don't seem to care about the extra revenue due to deals with Microsoft and hoping for whales to empty the in-game shops.
Most devs hate uw it seems🤷🤷
This game would work just fine in UW so there is no excuse not adding it.
