Don't worry too much the guy is a loser, I'm on your side for supporting all monitors.
have to be full T to be against it.
You need to first of all understand what games benefit from ultrawide and not just demand every game have it. You'll be a much happier person once you accept that.
Ultrawide: ON
The literal camera, enemy spawns, walkable area of the map, everything would need to change just to accommodate the 5% of players that own one of these monitors.
The amount of dev-time required to change all of this for the present and future of the game is not worth investing in MOST of the time.
If it was up to me, I would add an ultrawide "option" that displays your stats and quests on the sides, but I would still not expand the screen as that would require way too many changes to the core gameplay.
I'm playing it in full UW on 32:9. The camera is fine. The enemy spawns never just appear. They always come in from the bottom or top of the map, even off screen for normal resolutions. The walkable area stop's short about an inch on both sides which is BARELY an issue.
It took me all but 5 minutes to implement this UW fix. Nothing about this is broken. lol
Also, 5% of 1 million users, is still 50,000 players.
They don't seem to care about the extra revenue due to deals with Microsoft and hoping for whales to empty the in-game shops.
