No.

At least not right now. I'm on a 32:9 and I'm getting black bars. I will say that at certain loading screens, it displays all the way across my monitor. That tells me the engine has it built in, but they haven't unlocked it yet.

no. you'll get black bars on the sides and the fact they said 'it breaks the game' makes me think it wasn't even a consideration in development and would be hard to implement at all :steamfacepalm:

yep, really bizarre. you can tell the development process is geared towards console gamers for sure, yet they come to pc players with limited features and expect us to to pay to help beta test their game.

They don't expect you to do anything. You can sit by and watch the game get developed or you can go play something else or you can participate. It's up to you.

Or you can wait till it's released and play for free.

i see a ton of takes like this, which makes zero sense. im simply giving my feedback and expressing to the devs that there is a not-insignificant number of consumers that simply do not buy games that dont support multiple resolution ratios. it appears that they did some sort of calculus and came to the conclusion that the minimal work required to support this subset of consumers wasnt profitable enough for them. its a niche game and theyre making it more niche by refusing to support things like ultrawide.

Its this simple.. more support for more builds = more sales.
End of story.

I tried it and refunded it. This game is ass.
A worse version of Rotwood with more useless gear.

Yeah 3440x1440 support would have been nice, time to move on to something else.

Ultrawide directly affects game design in many genres, like this one, and adds development time/cost as a result. Ultrawide would need to become a standard before support is expected to exist by default.

Right now UW is ~5% of users, maybe, which is still a lot of people but is where VR was at years ago (VR is now ~35%). Will take time. Personally I hope it either never takes off and/or completely dominates, so it'd be an easy decision for the industry.

Ultrawide on a side-scrolling game is really stupid from a game design perspective, on areas where the map turns into a ramp, you'd see nothing but black background, or the edge of artwork that is not meant to be shown. You would also see enemies spawn out of thin air instead of "outside" of the camera as it is intended.

The sooner you start to realize that ultrawide is not meant for every single ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, the sooner you'll stop making these stupid posts on every single game release.

Also, is it necessary you be reminded that you make up less than 10% or 5% of the entire steam community when you talk about ultrawide? you are neither the majority or the future of gaming. Not everyone wants an ultrawide monitor, normal people at most would rather enjoy two monitors.

I'll keep giving feedback so devs can decide if they want to engage in changes or not, not saying anything isn't helping, it's hindering decision making on the developers side

you on the other hand currently actively try to hurt their decision making by telling us to shut up while the topic as a non uw user doesn't even tangent you at all, great job!
