any other stats matter besides "heal-on-hit"?
I don't notice much of a difference with any gears outside heal-on-hit.
Anyone look for something that actually translates into mobs death
easier/faster?

+Attack(%) and +Strike%. On Weapons/Gear, +Attack is just going to be a flat-added number - more is always better but you won't get more than 20 per armor piece - but on the Aspects it's a %, which adds up quick; a high end roll of Attack% will generally give you more actual Attack points than a max roll for flat +Attack. +Strike% increases any non-affliction damage dealt - so it's basically like +Attack% but it doesn't show up on your Attack total on your statsheet. Strike is probably what you want to be gunning for on your Gear/Weapons if you can get it.

Now, for more interesting/situational damage boosting options, there's also the Vulnerability affliction, which increases damage received by 20%. There's a bunch of ways to put this on enemies - Aspect of Vulnerable Blood can do it on Bleed, Aspect of Vulnerable Precision does it on Crit, for instance. There's also the Aspect of Wild Strikes that makes your attacks randomly do between 1%-275% damage, which generally works out in your favor. Can take enemies out of action VERY quickly and it stacks with Crits.

For self-healing, yeah, Heal On Hit is generally your best bet, but HP Regen can be better for slower-attacking Classes.

Break. You stun bosses for free hits when you break their yellow bar and on the right weapon this can make a big difference in how hard that boss fight will be.
You could go for DoT burn, poison and bleed for free damage. The pyro familiar does great AoE fire attack and can burn enemies and take a good chunk of their health if you increase it's duration and damage for burn. Came in clutch for me when dealing with large packs of enemies or bosses who summon help.
