Looking at the patches, it might seem like we're focusing on everything except gameplay improvements (reducing repetitiveness, adding more horror elements, QoL changes, etc.), but that’s not the case!
Once again, thank you for your feedback!
Bravo, Clapperheads :D
I'm aware this was probably because the models didn't fit or animate right, a lot goes into game making- especially coding and other technical things that can go wrong. As for them making the game sound like the main objective is curing the mutated animals and adopting a similar idea to Resident Evil in it being a survival horror... that's pretty bad and what sounds like- misleading.
Now, don't get me wrong- I love this game despite it, just disappointed as it could've been more than what it is now.
Now, the Horror of Zoochosis. People have different definitions of horror and it depends heavily on what they're looking for- they could be looking for a horror game that genuinely terrifies them or a horror game that messes with them mentally- often called Psychological Horror like Omori or Mouthwashing.
Zoochosis, to put it simply, is neither. It loses its scare factor quickly with the jumpscares and predictable mutated animal transformations. As for any psychological horror, there is none unless you count the mutated animal designs- sure, people have different definitions, there is no one label. People call this game "not scary" not because of the environment but because of the repeated jumpscares, predictable mutated animals and the boss fights which are made easier and not as tense anymore. Also, the story isn't scary at all, it's characters are all dumb like WHAT DO YOU MEAN THAT PAUL FED HIS FAMILY SOME MEAT FROM THE ZOO AND THAT MARRIED WOMAN ON THE PHONE THOUGHT TWO PEOPLE'S LIVES WERENT WORTH SAVING BECAUSE ONE OF THEM SLEPT WITH HER HUSBAND??? Anyways...
That's all I'm gonna say, it's like late at night here and I think I'd go insane further typing more issues with Zoochosis. But just know, I love flawed games!! Security Breach is one of them besides this one which got the same treatment.
Yeah, I just saw that now LOL but I can understand on the people calling this game a scam when it comes nothing close to that- even if it's a little misleading when it comes to the trailers.
Resident Evil isn't a "survival horror" anymore but a cringe worthy shooter, bad example...
Not trying to be mean mate, just that confused the hell out of me, especially after recently playing through 7 on the harder difficulties
Are we talking about the same game? Resident Evil IS a survival horror game, no matter how you look at it. Even the person of the original post pointed out some games that follow the formula of a survival horror game- managing your resources, something Resident Evil- or well, the survival horror genre is known for.
