Missing Parasites

I'm trying to get the best ending where I can save Paul, Sarah, and Paul's family. I've been using the anti-mutation antidote on the animals and sucked up the parasites to be stored. I got three parasites up to the point where you need to make the poison. When I open it up, one or two parasites out of the three are missing, and I keep getting the ending where they all eaten by the Mother. Is it some kind of glitch, or am I doing something wrong?

Yeah I had a similar thing happen - two of mine were missing. No Idea why sorry. :(

BUT I managed to get the True Best ending that you are trying to get in the base game (not New Game+). I found this to be a lot easier (there are less infected animals to deal with and parasites to suck up).

Warning though: if you start a base game (New Game), New Game+ disappears from the main menu until you complete it fully again.

Make sure you are always checking for phone calls in the supply closets and hub area.
Take every opportunity to contact your wife (even if this means giving her the meat - you can warn her that it is human meat later).
