Why are you wanting to dress like a woman?
Also, there is way less equipment for mages. The hat was just a normal hat that gives a few bonus to vodoo magic, so it is perfectly logical to want those stats. And the corset is bugged for women too (you can wear it with pants) and supposedly gives bonuses to magic.
There is one staff for celestial magic that you can't equip, yet, character has the skill of celestial magic. I think they should explain better equipment and magic. Also, there is a background (arcanist) that increases the 3 forms of magic, which doesn't make sense if you are not going to let players use the 3. I suppose it is similar for tech.
Right now it seems that the game is quite skewed to play with technology. I hope we get to play the other classes and for the game to be better balanced between tech and magic.
i dont, i found that chestpiece, and didnt have any other voodoo chest armor, so i just tried it. it was after i couldnt equip it that i took a closer look and saw that it was made for woman from the looks of it.
The headpiese on the other hand just looked neutral, and there wasnt any indicator, this why i prefer clearer stats in the item description.
Why does it even matter? In my case i would do it just to see how funny it looks :D
Please dont make it a bigger thing then it is since it is unrelated to the core of the topic (this being having better clearer description/stats on items)
i already clarified that i just wasnt really looking when i tryed to equip the chestpiece, there was no intention whatsoever besides getting better stats on the character.
Yeah, completely agree with that, and all outfits should be available to all characters!
Then you have many tech stuff that you can build that doesn't have stats unless you build it. Right now it seems the equipment is mostly oriented to tech characters. Since there are many vendors for tech pieces and plenty of money, plus a lot of guns, tech characters can enjoy a lot of special moves/actions with no penalty while mages get stuck with the same 2 spells.
On the other hand, there are more variety of armours for vodoo witch. Ugly, and variations of the same model, but more.
By the way, you can enchant the basic vodoo armor for better stats using cards.
As for enchanting, that's also weird. I'm not sure what actually matters when you try to enchant pieces of gear, but even when I change the modifier I get the same results. It seems for the moment I can only use the Spirit element for enchanting. As for what gear can be enchanted, sometimes it's counter intuitive. I have a pair of Basic Voodoo Shoes, which I can't get to appear for me, but the Bandit Voodoo Shoes can be enchanted. Most of the results I'm getting from the preview aren't worth it, so I'm hoping they add more to this.
