[Spoilers] Magic vs Tech Nuance

I really hope there'll be more nuance to the magic/tech conflict than presented thus far. I tried to play through as a technologist who was opposed to the Syndicate and didn't take issue with mages. Sure, I was able to prompt the (♥♥♥♥♥♥) play to not include propaganda, but so many dialogue options that had to do with being a technologist (some of which I HAD to choose to progress the conversation) were radically pro-technology and/or anti-magic.

Just because X doesn't mean Y, and just because one is pro-technology doesn't mean they support an iron-fisted plutocracy. I'm worried about how much the plot will forcibly steer the player towards or away from the Syndicate depending on whether they're a technologist or mage.

Also it appears that Technology has way more content exclusive to it. The only Exclusive Mage content is the Teddy Bear encounter after the Train. Then I was unable to agro the Factory Boss or the Factory gate guards. My first time as a Mage play through I totally missed the Factory because your never specifically directed there as a Mage.
