I hate how transformers have lips.

It looks disgusting like a horrible experiemt went wrong. Metal lips doesn't make me feel more closed to the character, it makes me feel like all transformers should just keep their visors/masks on. Don't yall agree?

lol youve obviously never watched the original transformers they had lips the only ones that didnt were like optimus and few others who had shielding infront of their mouth. you do know they are living beings and do need to eat right. the quintessons created the transformers to be a slave force for their planet so they wouldnt have to work giving them the ability to reproduce (create one and put a spark in it) and the need to eat. built originally under the looks of the quintesson including mouths and lips later learning how to transform in the great war the autobots and decepticons wiped out the quintessons then spent years at peace before megatronus (which is based on roman lore shortened to megatron so the masses could chant his name better) lost his mind and was pissed that optimus "stole" the prime status which was supposed to be his. optimus will die by megatrons hand (thats what he says when he feels optimus betrayed him lol) anyways there is your history lesson on transformers and to answer your question they always had lips

i guess you could go with the tv show version that god of light primus and god of dark unicron were at war for eons and during the war had created the autobots and decepticons or there is the michael bay version that the all spark created everything which is just dumb
