Liked the game but it crashes so so much that I cannot bother suffering it any longer. I seen game crashes but this one takes the cake, I even swapped between my Nvidia card and a AMD, verified files, installed again and even had a group of friends that are all techs look at it and nothing. Bushiroad and FURYU once again show up a horrible tendency to never updating their games, making sequels with the same assets as the previous entry and selling it for the maximum price they can get away with.

Is like someone is selling you the same car you have but with a different coat of painting, they cannot even bother to test their games and see that they work, nah I am tired, just slam that code down the game throat and call it a day! Let the players handle it. Truly, if there is anything I gleamed from VGDD2 (this game abbreviation) is to not trust this developer and be wary of any videogame they make.

Is a shame, because Vanguard is fun and this title has like 3000+ cards along with a decent gameplay that is enjoyable, but between all of this and the fact they probably try to make more money before going VGDD3 or straight up abandon the game, I have no hope. I hope I can get my refund because the price is steep and it's not going to be fun for me to have a game in my library that IS USELESS and I cannot play! For those considering, you are either gonna be crash free or have crashes like the amount of bread you eaten in your entire life. Yeah that bad, and there are segments where if it crashes, it will always crash again in those parts, so you could play an hour with no crash, get a crash in say story mode and then always get a crash that makes it so you cannot beat the game.


The lowest of lows, and a stain in gaming that serves as an example of what to not do: make a game painful to even play.

This game is region-locked, making it impossible to play with others from different regions. I got this game because I wanted to play with friends from other regions. The old Dear Days didn't have this region lock!

This game is in such an unacceptable state.

With glitches that needed a day one patch, translation errors everywhere, and overall being a huge mess in ladder.

I have no idea why they thought regional pricing this into $102 and then being a bug filled mess in both the single player mode and even in ranked with allowing bad actors to exploit the draw softlock. Mind the poor optimisation and lag, and oh what's that? There's also a region lock to make your day even more of a headache if finding a game wasn't already bad enough?

As much support I'd want to give for this game, especially with this being the only official way to play online, there is genuinely no excuse as for why they've decided greenlight this in such a rubbish state.

If you're not able to play the card game in real life and this is your only option, it's fine to pick this up, it's whatever. But as for how there's already so much bs that has risen from them spitting on your face for DD1 and getting you to get the new game, I couldn't really recommend getting this at all if the TCG is an accessible option.

I'm super passionate for VG, I want this game to actually flourish in new players, but this is 100000% not it.

I genuinely enjoy this series and find it incredibly fun. However, Bushiroad’s approach feels overly greedy. The game itself is poorly optimized, riddled with glitches, and prone to frequent crashes. At its current state, it simply isn’t worth the $70 price tag. If you're looking for a game with similar graphical fidelity, you’d be better off playing the Yu-Gi-Oh! titles released on the GBA. If you don’t have access to Cardfight!! Vanguard in person, I’d recommend waiting for a sale before considering this purchase.

- quite possibly the sackiest state a game has been in since it's inception
- A format of deflated shield numbers and barren of adequate defensive mechanics
- A story that is impossible to be invested in without having played the equally over-costed first entry
- unranked matchmaking populations on par with Concorde


Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days 2 is the game for you.

Featuring NONE of your favorite cards or decks from the formats of Limit Break, Legion, G, V, or Premium. None of your favorite characters from the anime or movies. And DLC as overpriced as the scalped to hell standard-format promos and precons.

Get this game as a present from your best buddy and still managed to somehow feel ripped off TODAY.

The gameplay is fine. English translation is awful. Pricing is still atrocious but if you have the money, then it's fine. Main reason for the negative review right there.

I mainly bought this for Vintage fight nostalgia, but even with the negatives this is sadly still the best way to play the game digitally.

The game is fun, but as other people have noted, the English translation is terrible. You don't even need to go out of your way to find spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, they can be seen within the first 5 minutes. Unacceptable for the price they dare charge for it. The pricing for the base game and DLC is insane, when games like master duel add cards in free updates. The mouse controls are also clunky, with no way to confirm without moving to the bottom of the screen. I'd say it's worth it on sale, but if the last one is anything to go off of, it will go on sale rarely, and barely lower the price.

You spend 150myr to buy this game and you need to spend money to get the latest cards as dlc, what is the point of the in game currency then, every set you would have to spend money in order to play the new cards eventhough you already spend 150 on the base game, when you could've spend the money on other COMPLETE games

It pains me a little to do this, but this product shouldn't be acceptable in its current state.
It's bad enough that this is the only way someone like me in a backwater country has to even have a taste of playing this TCG (I can even find Weiss Schwartz here without much problem, but Cardfight Vanguard is nowhere to be seen) but Dear Days 2 has been released in a way that makes it obvious that the western public is more of a second class citizen than the original japanese public.
The translations are god awful, visible from the very first lines you read in the game, UI text boxes can clip in horrendous ways, some cards don't even have translations and most people report that the game doesn't even open for them (I haven't experienced those yet, so I can't say), no crossplay so the ranked mode will be dead in no time and future booster sets are almost the same price as many AAA games.
For a full price product, Dear Days 2 is lackluster at best, and absolutely incompetent at worst.
If they fix those things with patches, I'm open to changing this review, but right now, this isn't it, chief.
