Why did my progress reset?

Why did my progress reset when I had a quick blackout which shut off my computer?
And how do you bring back your progress.

1. because like me your blackout happened when the game was saving.
2. You have to be more vigilant and backup your data to bring it back because likely the data got 100% corrupted and uploaded to Steam Cloud that way. Back up the VGDD2 save often especially in a storm... But also because the game can just crash, though the latest 1.03 should have fixed some crashes.
