and how often do you get to try a new deck in master duel? i had to spend like $700 on md because I like changing my playstyle up a lot. this is pay once + for dlcs and you get access to full card pools, very generous crafting system & points earned, every hour you could build a new deck from scratch if you wanted to once you built up a base card pool, with no time limit on waiting for dailies to reset/etc.

I need people to understand....that yugioh being free doesn't make it more appealing to me than vanguard. In fact, I don't mind paying the money, because I value playing vanguard enough that it's fine. That is the qualitative difference between the two to me personally. I'm pretty sure that holds true to everyone that bought the game. If its not worth that much to you, that's fine, but being like "THIS THING IS FREE!!!" means jack if I don't enjoy that thing.

i mean, i prefer legacy of the duelist to master duel, they did give a game at the time that had MORE cards than the tcg at the time of release for $40, but they never update it. the price of this game + it being updated is fine compared to MD, regardless.
Bought a physical switch version from japan (has english translation) for 45€ on amazon (it is already discounted by 15% in the non amazon exclusive edition that only is missing a poster) with shipping and tax it is 60€ - still cheaper than this version with 68€ + I can resell it for pretty much full price later on as there wont be many copies arround in my country
+ ofc the promo cards, though I dont rly care about them as Vanguard never was alive in most parts of europe (barely cards to buy, cardstores dont support it, amazon pretty much only way to get cards)

And the fact that we will get cards from Asia Circuit and Link Joker just make it much much better.
Who knows maybe, if game sell enough, they will also include G era cards. After all we already have Stride mechanic in game.
But as i said since i dont have any other way to play Vanguard then like this since cards are not available in my country, i think 70e is not that much. On the other hand 65e for Card Pass with 4 sets and 2 of these are Trial is just to much and i dont know if i will buy it unless they lower price to 40e max.
probably gonna need a 3rd game for v-premium. but i REALLY hope they expand on this one and keep it updated for longer than dd1. the period of no content for dd1 really killed it for me. right now it started more updated and a consistent 6 month behind window similar to how md does like 6-12 month delay

These people are so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid and its been making me furious since the first game.

Id INFINITELY pay 150 to get a WHOLE YEAR's worth of the Vanguard format instead of having to grind or whale in order to play new things. Mater Duel isnt "free" even if theyre generous when you sign up; first hits always free until the drug dealers need to make more money.

well, given dlc ends in summer, it's probly $64.99 twice a year. unless that's what you meant. but yea $130 a year is really good pricing compared to stuff like MD. espec if we get free updates like vintage decks & trial decks like we did before. (just assuming since no vintage in DLC plan? fine if it's paid tho.)
i mean i can pay for this and not pay a single penny vs master duel that i need to open boosters for a premium.

F2P, not Free to actually make a decent deck. That costs an arm and a leg, and then you get rolled by Whales still and lose because of a coin flip. On top of that, I just prefer Vanguard over Yu-Gi-Oh any day.
