What are these? Are they additional DLC? Does it not come with the season pass?

As far as I understand, they aren't necessary. They unlock cards that you can just grind ingame. It's there in case you just want to hand them money instead of unlocking the cards through playing.

They are there to trick u, everything in play sets are obtainable in game by opening packs, those are for rich people who don't wanna grind.
