I bought Flashback 4 days ago and only got it make to run now based on the its comment!
Still no solution from the Ubisoft support while this #@%& of Uplay doesn't gets this issue corrected, my steps are:
1) Disable Ethernet card (Local Conetion);
2) Run Uplay or call the Game by link/Steam (double-click);
3) Enable Ethernet card (Local Conetion).
4) Play the game, finally!!! \o/
...just so I'm getting play in this version 4.0.0.2045

This is a Uplay's error even. After Uplay login screen is shown I can enable ethernet adapter again and continues everything ok.
I have to disable ethernet only for Uplay be loaded. I'm succeeding to play connected.

The same problem. Need to disable lan, to start uplay. Does anybody solved this problem?
