Does this game force TAA?
I don't like modern blurry games.

I don't know what's up with it, but the game feels super blurry to me. I disabled motion blur, made sure resolution settings were correct, and everything still felt slightly out of focus. Closing the game after 90 minutes and my eyes actually feel screwed up from trying to look at this game.
It's not the best image quality (but also far from being bad) but there's definitely something wrong if it looks blurry enough to impact your vision lol

Yeah, I think it's mostly the UI that feels blurry to me. Even looking at this image, the compass in the top left doesn't feel "sharp" and I think it's throwing me off when looking at it/trying to read the dialog options, etc.

I noticed my character in the character creator was also weirdly out of focus at certain zoom levels, but not others, so idk what's going on.

The compass edges seem kinda blurry I think because it doesn't have a hard border so it kinda just fades into the background. I think the player arrow and the quest marker look fine and the combat UI has all looked pretty clear to me at 4K

The icons in this look fine to me, but the borders/all that greenish stuff still looks blurry. I know I sound crazy, but for whatever reason it really is bothering my eyes when I look at it. I'm fine playing other games (just switched over to KCD2 and am having no issues), but maybe it's just me. Either way, I can't play it like this. Bothering me too much.

Thank you, though, for taking the time to show what yours looked like. I appreciate it.

No I understand what he means. These graphics don't look clean at all.
There is very much detail, until you try to focus on any of it, then it's just smeared out crap.
Anti aliasing soup. Which is far too common in games these days.

Yup. Its your usual AAA blurry mess. If you have an AMD card, use the sharpening filter.
Sheogorath Feb 18 @ 2:50pm
if you have an Nvidia card, you can use the Nvidia app, in game put on dlss 3 up scaling or whatever it is in graphics settings, then exit game, go on the app, and you can force dlaa at 100% it will overwrite the games settings, it worked for me, as the blurriness was horrible it was hurting my eyes but this fixed it for myself.

I don't get the TAA hate. Is way better than MSAA and much less demanding.

How is it better lmao. Like yeah MSAA is too taxing, but TAA turns the game into a blurry mess.

weird, I can focus on it just fine
No forcced TAA, you can even force Nvidia DLAA in Nvidia settings if you have a newer Nvidia card
spinning the camera makes me feel sick. even with motion blur at 0%, movements really do feel blurry.

[Got on gamespass not steam]

No lol. DLSS is standard these days, and much much better. 4k with DLSS is the best AA or DLAA (DLSS without the upscaling) if you don't need the performance boost of upscaling.

Yes.

It is made using the modern Unreal Slopengine 5. If you decide to forcefully disable TAA from a .ini file expect all sort of artifacts and visual bugs. It is not designed to run without TAA.
