Game breaking bug - An Untimely End
During the end of the Untimely end quest I can no longer progress. I talk to ygwulf and no matter what option I choose I still end up in combat and cannot target or damage anybody in the room. Ive tried dying and reloading multiple times and nothing works. Anybody else with this issue?

Make a ticket here: https://support.obsidian.net/

If you're able to send a save file, that would also help the process.

I also encountered this, though maybe not quite as extreme. If I picked the violent option in dialog, the enemies COULD be damaged. However, if I picked the peaceful dialog path, combat is initiated anyway, but the enemies cannot be hit (not just Ygwulf, the boss, but all of them). That said, the game appears to autosave after dialog completes, and if I load that autosave, the enemies are gone as expected and I am able to progress normally.

I cannot leave the cistern area or I just get stuck on an infinite loading screen. Chose the non-violent path. Tried re-loading an earlier save, wind up on infinite loading screen upon trying to leave again.
Got the peaceful option bug too. Can confirm that loading a post-dialogue auto save seems to fix it. Just set your auto save frequency to 2 minutes and make sure you stay in the conversation long enough to trigger one.
Same problem here. The solution was simple: The door is still open, just run for it until your party is out of combat. The game will then continue like nothing unusual happened.
I also encountered this bug. Took the peaceful option, yet everyone attacked as soon as we left the conversation. Couldn't hurt anyone. I hightailed it back out the open door and made my way back out of the cistern and the quest appeared complete.

I experienced this as well, and in later dialogue, Kai indicated that the Steel Garrote hung him (I did not see his body at the gallows and Garryck was still alive).

The Voice indicated Ygwulf was freed (in the dream sequence at camp, and I met Stecg and received the Writ of Passage from Ygwulf.

Seems to be a minor bug, but was a b it confusing at first. Just sharing case others come here with the same issue.
