If I liked High on Life, would I like Avowed?

Recently, High on Life came to PS+ as a monthly. It's the videogame from the Rick and Morty people. The game play is simple, the story is just silly, and it's got a few laughs. Mainly I'm just enjoying it as something to do while listening to a podcast or YouTube for an hour or two a few nights a week.

I've heard mixed things about Avowed but if it's just a fun game I can shut my brain off to, I could overlook the issues I've heard about it.

if you liked outer world and pillars of eternity 2. you will like this game. its a pillars game but built with outer worlds style.

You'd have to play it and pay attention to get it. The game does address some serious topics and there's a lot of environmental storytelling that adds to the experience that you'll miss by rushing through the game and skipping all the dialogue.

There are also a lot of quests that have a good amount of moral ambiguity and a lot of the decisions you have to make in those aren't cut and dry as to whether they're good or bad.

Avowed is an excellent rpg. It has good combat, good story, good exploration and a good itemization/crafting. I highly recommend it if you like Outer Worlds or Skyrim.

I really hesitate to recommend the game to someone while mentioning Skyrim. They are not similar games outside of being first person focused

2 completely different games...High on Life is actually worth playing and its funny af...Avowed is a cash grab pos that does very little to distinguish itself from other Fantasy RPG's

Avowed is smoother play and less buggy than High on life is. I enjoy it more for sure.
