What is your favorite build?
What combination of skills, attributes and gear has proven to be your favorite so far?

I have really enjoyed my twin swords, heavy armor tank build. Good dps and good survivability.

I am currently playing a spin on the above build. Now I went dual daggers, medium armor and less tank skills in exchange for more dps. (I forget to use the in-combat stealth skill sometimes)

I started out with:

Primary - Main: Pistol, Offhand: Grimoire of Elements

Secondary - Main: 1hd sword, Offhand: Shield

The standard grimoire of elements surprisingly has some staying power if you want to stick with that and not bother to invest any points into mage line.

I've since switched over to a primary of dual wielding pistols and they pretty much delete everything without having to bother with the positioning and strategy required to make full use of spellcraft. If something manages to live through the initial barrage, the full stun gauge usually deletes most enemies including some bosses.

Edit: Don't overlook the Disappointer unique pistol (early game). It starts with a -10% damage debuff but one of the enchant upgrades you can place on it switches that negative to a +10% damage buff.

It certainly is in my opinion. I am using a grimoire of greater elements together with a wand, and having access to three different aoe spells with reduced essence costs and cooldowns is amazing. Especially Blizzard is nice with Tanglefoot, because the latter guarantees that the target(s) take(s) full damage from the former.

2h gs + dw pistols, all unique.

charged attacks, parry, barb roar, tangled roots and charge all = massive stun generation both near and far. everything drops dead at potd. I'm in the 3rd area and I'm actually worried I've made the adventure a bit too easy for myself.

next run I'm going evil loyal aedyr grim mage/sword saint and then if I'm still jonesing for more I might try going fully native with a sneaky dw sword/bow build as it felt pretty good in the first area.
Personally, I find it really nice to keep my distance, shoot things in the face (or the target square thing) with the biggest rifle I can find, dodge, shoot, tangle root, shoot, and only if absolutely necessary switch to something more suitable for close range.

Not at all. The ranger tree only has two really dedicated skills for guns that increase damage and slow time while aiming and I found nothing else necessary for using my main weapons. That allowed me to put all other points in mage skills to improve spells and reduce armour penalties.
Had literally that exact build. Don't sleep on the lvl 20 stun buff for rangers, really nice top off. stealth is just too useful for survivability as well but I didn't find the sniper skill to be that essential

Dual pistol ranger (with an Arquebuse as "backup") is quite strong. I also had a lot of fun with the good old two-handed sword fighter. Combat is quite nice in this game

The skilltrees are very easy - push the damage of the weapons you use, upgrade your stamina / essence management and put the rest of the points into "fun skills" (e.g. bear pet / dodge). Ranger scavenger perks are mandatory for every build IMHO to keep up with the upgrade costs.
It gives some funny builds for highest difficulty (pure AoE-Mage, a Fist-Monk with Helwalkers Vestment).

But in a personal ranking i woud say the most one that i have enjoyed is melee battlemage with sword (Ondra's Offense), aurochs-skin grimoire, frost spells (blast of frost and freezing pillar) and charge skill to charge in frozen enemies (gives bonus dmg from charge).
