Avowed
What Makes a AAA Game?
When i search google for the definition, a AAA title is just anything created by a major studio. Regardless of quality. By this definition, a 2d 1kb game of Pong can be a AAA title if made by Blizzard.

So what in your opinion ACTUALLY makes a AAA title worthy of AAA pricing?:Fleur_de_Lys:

AAA generally refers to funding and mainly how that funding is used toward marketing. It has little to do with quality. It's more about being high profile.

Marketing budgets are a huge part of why AAA games cost so much. So I would say that convincing people to pay a higher price makes it worthy of AAA pricing.
I can't define it but I know it when I see it.

That's why I don't own Avowed, though I own KCD2 and I will get AC:Shadows (even with the issues). Avowed may be a good game, but they very obviously cut some corners. When it's down to $50-55, I'll give it a whirl.
To me, AAA games just means it's likely going to be trailed by fanbois and thus the reviews and hype should be taken at adjusted values. I've been mostly playing indie games anyway.

Nothing against Avowed, tho. I haven't played it lol
