godlike features? I am yet to see someone who didn't. I guess people don't wanna play as clickers.

thats because they represent, or are an extension of, the god that threw you out of the wheel

obviously the god that threw you out of the wheel is plant based. which fits with the lore of the game and the dreamscourge

i have godlike features enabled. a couple of facial tattoos in red. i felt that having my entire head as a piece of bark was a little too far.

I didn't. I thought my Envoy looked pretty good, plus they are supposed to be weird. If you hide the godlike features, all those NPCs commenting "what's wrong with your face?" don't really make sense. :)

They could have made it more epic instead of sort of disgusting like fungus, haven't played POE though maybe its a huge part of it.

But you are apparently tied to a fungus/plant god (haven't finished the story yet) so it makes sense.

godlikes reflect the god that spawned them.

due to story and lore reasons youre from a god of the land.

i didnt hide them ,the npc's dialog references them all the time so it would be kind of silly to hide them

I played with them on to experience it as it was designed. I chose the mask looking fungus and added a nice mustache for some panache. Looked weird, and I like that because fantasy should be weird.
