Obsidian Can't Write Romance
Each time they make a game. They always find an excuse to not write it. It's honestly kinda funny to me.

If no one in the studio experienced romance worth writing about, then yes it makes sense that they leave it out of the game

You dont need to show nudity or sex to have good romance in a game...

It just feels like Obsidian could've easily gotten that experience over the years if they just challenged themselves instead of avoiding the genre all together. Kinda reminds me of Bethesda who just got lazy on what made them a good studio and now they can't compete with anything in the current year.

BINGO! It's about showing depth of character and how well their crafted, this is something that if left out and excuses given makes the devs feel lazy and just pushing out product like it's on a factory assembly line.

You have to understand that it is very hard for self-made societal rejects to gain first hand experience of romance. Be nice and do not hate gamers or engage in discriminatory hiring practices.

It does take talented writers who understand these things to properly write them, most of these writers have left these studios or the industry in general. Their all older writers who just don't want to do it, or want to enjoy their retirement and not get sucked back in. Some even went to join indy studios making good games at reasonable prices.
Obsidian can't write anything
They had romance in Pillars of Eternity 2, and surprisingly good ones too. They also had romance in KotOR 2, and also in Neverwinter Nights 2. There was also romance in Fallout: New Vegas.

Is this the only Obsidian game you have played?

I played all of those games excluding Neverwinter. Pillars of Eternity's 2 romance was a joke. After that game, they just kept making excuses after excuses at avoid writing romance. People seemed to like KoTor 2's romance but personally I felt it to be stale and dry. Also I'm pretty sure the writers that wrote it already left the company.

As for New Vegas, you can't really be serious, right? If you think Fisto is the epitome of romance, then please, never pick up a pen.

So now the goalpost shifted from 'Obsidian doesn't write romance' to 'They write romance that I don't like'?

Nice.

It's "Obsidian Can't Write Romance" Not "Obsidian doesn't write romance". The "goalpost" is still the same if you aren't dyslexic.

I agree. Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 does it much better. Damn that man for offering his sausage but never following through, such a tease.

People like you just love wasting time don't you? You already know my meaning. As you replied to my comment where I gave my knowledge of Obsidian games. I don't care if they wrote terrible romance that you goyasm over in the past. Right now they are incapable of writing it for one reason or another, and they always have an excuse line up for their latest title. Which they been doing since Pillars of Eternity 2 which came out, by the way, in 2018

Stop fighting imaginary battles and hyperfixating on irrelevant things.

I thought I did, but then you claimed you meant something else.

Here is a tip: Don't write things you don't mean.

They made 2 single player RPGs since PoE 2, well 3 if you count Penitent (which did have some romance). And that means they are incapable of writing a romance?

Okay. Whatever you say.

Would you honestly romance any of the characters in this game?

I would have romanced Giatta if that was an option.
