Anyone able to drop some largely spoiler-free tips about this objective? I can't find it on Dawnshore.

In Dawnshore? IIRC you'll be led to it as part of the main quest after the voice in your head tells you to find it, track the quest and the marker should point straight to it.
Non-spoiler, try looking North of the Yellowband encampments for a cave. Should be obvious what to do once you're in there since it's a fairly small place.

Thanks, that was helpful. I found the right place, but I have not received any guidance to the location. Maybe I've spent too little time resting at camp?

Could be. Can't remember exactly when it triggers - it's after Dawntreader, but I don't remember exactly how far I'd pushed the main plot. It does follow a rest at camp though - you have a conversation with the voice that tells you to seek out the memory.

just hope you didn't encounter the same bug I did, which made it impossible for me to end the side quest regarding this memory...
