Getting annoyed with the bugs

During combat, the game suddenly started spamming me with tutorials on weapon upgrades, which REALLY interfered with the fight. And I keep having problems with stairs suddenly becoming not solid, so when I try to walk on stairs, I fall through into the space beneath. I can't fight the weapons master in Paradis because the stairs aren't really there. Now I'm having the same problem trying to turn in Giuliana's quest. Those stairs worked just fine before, now they aren't solid, either.

This is NOT a $70 game. The world is pretty and fun to explore, I like Kai's voice actor, but most of the dialogue is as bland as a bologna and mayo on white. Pillars of Eternity had great dialogue, sad that doesn't seem to be the case here.

I ran into "half-loaded" sub-region at one point, loading an autosave (probably save & load or fast travel too) resolved it.

Using some shortcuts like travsering down cliffs may cause content to not load or render in the world properly.

I've never run into those problems, might be worth verifying your game files and fiddling with the graphics settings.

For me, loading a save was what broke it. I had to close the game entirely to get the stairs back.

No issues after 72 hours. Still in the third area.

I did not expect this game to be this much fun. My plan was to not purchase it. I still refuse to play The Outer Worlds. A YouTube walkthrough of that game was enough for me. Although, I may play the sequel.

What a mistake that would have been, skipping this game. Avowed is a gem.

At the same time, the forum is infested with nimduts that don't own it, but are butchering it.

Unbelievable how brainless and jealous the youth are these days.

Every time I take a break from playing the game I glance at the forum. It's the same people.
Hundreds of them. Sitting here. Spamming the same crap over and over again, trying to rationalize and justify their non-purchase of a video game.

Completely inept and oblivious to what's really going on in the world today.

Ooo, here's another fun bug I found today. My party and I get into combat in water, and get the electrified effect. And then it never ends. It just goes on and on and on, and drinking grog doesn't cure it. I kept waiting for it to end, and I've gone through 4 health bars, and it's still going. Tried logging out, nope, didn't fix it. Currently trying quitting to desktop. If that doesn't work, I'll probably have to reload a previous save. What a pain in the ass. I would expect something like this from early access, not a full release.

I would actually like to play this game.

Yep, had to reload a previous save to fix the problem. Used Ice this time since electricity is clearly bugged.

Yeah, had the electricity bug too. Figured fast travelling would fix it but nope, had to load a save.
I've had a monster not spawn in that was needed for a quest once, and reloading fixed that too...those are my only 2 bugs in 40 hours

I don't really expect games to be entirely bug free, but I had all the above and I've only got 19 hours in, and haven't got beyond Paradis yet. That makes me concerned for how buggy the rest will be.

That electricity bug is *expensive* if you use healing potions thinking it will end. Good thing previous save was within half an hour.

The stairs thing is happening to me too. Just fell though some and had to swim for 5 mins to find a place I could get ashore. Now having to save everytime I approach stairs, it's driving me crazy!
