PSA ABOUT SHOPS
I keep seeing people state how scarce lockpicks are. And as someone who was afraid of that, you can basically minmax it like this.

Every 3 camp rest periods the shops restock on basic crafting materials/cycling through their stock. This includes lockpicks.

Basically just keep up with your resting periods and you will be able to have a good stock. Most shops restock 3 at a time.

Happy adventuring!

I swear the game is self aware when it comes to picks. I'll go for a good while without any. Then I loot one and suddenly the next chest needs to be picked. Otherwise I never run into locked chests.
Good advice on the shop restock :)

Also, if you're looking for gold, gems have no other use and can be safely sold for gold.
Gloves and boots you don't want to use are good to sell, as you can't break them down into crafting materials.

Weapons and armor can be broken down into crafting materials, which you will need to upgrade your gear. And the basic materials can be crafted into higher tier materials.

So selling weapons and armor is a harder call.

The grenades: basic grenade, fire (magram), ice (rymangand) and others can be decent sources of income, depending on your play style. You can craft basic grenades at the Cooking fire, and the others are fairly common harvest finds-oddly enough, grenades that freeze your enemies or water *do* grow on trees in Eora :D

Selling some grenade types you have enough of can come in handy if you need the extra gold in a pinch. I like to keep, say, 4-6 of each type in reserve.

I honestly never found myself lacking lockpicks, actually. If you explore and search everything (and buy from merchants when you get the chance) you should have enough, that was my experience at least.

It is something a lot of my friends mention so I think it may come from some players who are bad at paying attention to stuff consistently. Not out of laziness, just mostly forgetting ab it!
