Why Does Only Positive Critique Get to Stay?
I’ve noticed an unsettling trend lately in the discussions around this game. It seems that only positive critiques are allowed to stay, while any form of constructive, yet negative, criticism is swiftly removed. I understand the desire to promote a positive atmosphere, but it feels like we're being silenced when we try to voice legitimate concerns or share our fair points about aspects of the game that might need improvement.

It’s almost as if there’s this "forbidden topic" in the game, something we're not allowed to discuss openly without fear of having our thoughts erased. Sure, we can praise the game all day, but it’s tough to have a balanced discussion when any negative critique is not given the same platform.

Isn't the point of critique to help games improve and evolve? Just seems a bit one-sided at the moment. What are your thoughts on this?

Honestly, i haven't seen a whole lot of that. Most of the negative is just the game/devs being dumped on by people who don't even verifiably own the game, often for reasons not actually tied to the game itself.

I get what you're saying, but the issue isn't just random complaints. There's a specific option in the game that many of us can’t openly critique. Whenever we try, the post gets flagged with:
"This post has been identified as inappropriate. When posting in the Steam Community, please ensure that content is appropriate for all Steam users."

It’s frustrating, because we're just trying to discuss something that we feel needs improvement. Why are we being silenced when trying to share fair feedback? Feels like certain topics are off-limits for no clear reason.
Maybe criticisms wouldn't be removed so much if they were more productive.

Thing is trolling is not constructive criticism...sorry.

I understand the concern, but criticism doesn’t always equal hate. Constructive feedback can help the game improve. If we’re not allowed to voice legitimate concerns, it feels like we’re being shut down rather than having a healthy discussion.

hate and insults and posting for reactions is not constructive criticism. Polite stating of your issue is. Ive seen your posts.

i find this funny since i have seen a post that asks people what they have against the game and it's still there.

*because it's actual criticism about the game itself.*
( but then you got the '' anti-woke '' crowd lol )

It’s a bit frustrating that if I repeat my concerns, I risk getting hit with the message:
"This post has been identified as inappropriate. When posting in the Steam Community, please ensure that content is appropriate for all Steam users."

This feels like it’s proving the point that discussions here are one-sided. If we can’t even express the same valid points without being flagged, it seems like there’s no room for balanced critique. It’s hard to have an open conversation when negative feedback is so easily dismissed.

Most of the negative critiques have nothing to do with the game itself and are expressing the poster’s ideological views as if this is r/Conservative

For the same reason you should never get your news from one source, you should never get your reviews from one source. Make sure you're checking all the various major review venues, from metacritic, to opencritic, blogs, editorials, etc... before you make a decision based on reviews. This is why I believe it is always better to either wait for a sale, or get a game through a service like Game Pass unless you're absolutely sure the game is something you'll enjoy. Unless you have a lot of expendable income... wait for a sale. It's a single player game. You're not missing anything.
