Avowed
Is this game worth playing
I watched someone play this yesterday for about 3 hours and wasn’t really impressed. Is this game good or lesser so in your opinions?

I'm gonna mark this post as my answer since after a few hours of watching gameplay, reading reviews, and listening to people talk about this game it looks mid as ♥♥♥♥ and will be skipped. Thanks everyone!

No, it's not worth it. Get it for $5 in a couple of years.
nah, just play skyrim or oblivion. much of the game is basically many steps back in terms of mechanics from games made 20 years ago. much of the rpg mechanics are lackluster. Most of it is just a pretty coat of paint on a mid/♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. or hell you can go even play og dragons dogma or the gothic games (all 3 are on sale for 10 bucks). Theres also fable and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic which are far better than avowed will ever be. in summary play something else.

It's a fun game if you like exploring and taking your time in the world.

If you want constant action and a speed run, this is not the game for that. If you want interesting quests, with choices that effect the world, it's a good game.

If you liked Pillars of Eternity 1 or 2, it's set in a different part of that world, with a lot of core systems and call backs to the lore of that world.

If you're looking for Skyrim or Oblivion, this is not that. It is its own game, and the gameplay gets better the further you progress. The opening minutes are not nearly as good as the later zones.

If you're willing to take the time, it's a good game.

hard to tell now with all that drama going around, but if you're expecting something on the same level of Skyrim you might be disappointed

Isn't that crazy to hear? Lower your expectations below a decade old RPG. How have we went backwards with gaming so hard :bbtcat:

If you weren't impressed with what you saw, why are you considering the game? To troll for engagement?

But, in answer, yes - it's a fun action RPG with light roleplaying elements.

Well, its a simple question, let me explain it like this. Do you think its a good idea to drink gasoline? How about some mental nutcase telling you that you should love to drink gasoline and if you don't then your a bigot. That's Avowed from in game and its fan culture in a nutshell. Make your decision on for yourself.

(of course you should never drink gasoline IRL, its obvious but some people are dumb so making that note here)

You ever played base Skyrim?
I guess no because Skyrim is only good because of millions of Mods and "Community" Patches.

Fact of the matter is the people are still playing this over Avowed.

Mods help 100%, but Skyrim is still being played to this day, with double the player count of Avowed
