Low FPS ON Animal Animations?
Want to preface this by saying I'm really enjoying the game (on gamepass tho).

Is anyone else finding that the animations for friendly animal NPCs (eg. chickens) run at a significantly lower framerate than the rest of the game. I'm getting consistent 70+ FPS through the whole game, but when I get up close to any of the livestock, they look like stop motion at >20 FPS :steammocking:

It's not game breaking by any means, but are other players seeing this too, or is it just me?

They actually rendered a human inside each animal in this game - for inclusivity purposes ofcourse.

So additional polygons = additional overhead. It's unfortunate but necessary.

Yes, that is something that is happening to everyone, you are not experiencing some rare bug. The game is bugged like that to everyone. Why this is happening? People are proposing all sorts of theories, one that I stand by is: Unreal Engine 5 is really bad at animating multiple moving NPCs, for some reason. Don't ask me why, I'm not Unreal Engine engineer. But low framerate of NPCs and animals animations has to do with the engine.

I noticed this too and also saw some human npcs that moved like that. They were always npcs you can't interact with. That makes me think they're imposters rather than actual fully-rendered characters. I'm just guessing though. Normally, imposters would be used for characters in the distance, not ones right in front of you.

I have this too, and I said the same thing. Not game breaking but very ugly.
They need to fix this ASAP since it affects most of the non combatant critters and people that move around
Please fix!
yes ive noticed it too in and around paradis
farmyard animals and some npcs will jitter around as they move.

It's a good thing it's not everything that moves around
The way for reporting bugs on this game sucks, it's a whole chore
They should have implemented an in-game bug reporting feature
I have many I want to report but don't feel like doing a whole hour task
I guess there's something on Discord too but I'm not on there
