I still don't get offered training by any companion except Kai

I'm in Shatterscarp, level 16 Legendary gear....and the only companion that offered training is Kai, who did it almost immediately.
There's been two patches? Three?? Still no fix. Tell me I'm not the only one.

they don't offer it. Go to the Abilities > Companions tab. They get ability points just like the main guy.

Nonsense. Companion tab is where you find their skills. I'm talking about the dialogue where they offer training, which gives + attributes of your choice. How is the companions tab going to help me with that.

I'm still getting through the first zone (though pretty close to exploring all of it now) and I did get training from Kai. I also more heavily exhausted his dialog tree, so that may be part of it. But I wouldn't be surprised if they have a hidden affinity tracker of sorts due to how you complete things which may influence when they offer this.

Train with all 4 of your companions at camp. Progress each companion’s story line far enough and they will offer to train you at camp. Training will give you 2 points in a single stat or 1 point each in 2 stats.

- Kai will offer training while in Dawnshore.
- Giatta & Yatzli will offer training in Shatterscarp after completing Face Your Fears.
- Marius will offer training in Galawain’s Tusks, after you fully extinguish all of his dialog about all 4 zones. He’s a ranger, so this is what he is trained in. While in each zone, ask him “Let’s talk about [zone]…” until he has nothing left to say. Only then will he offer to train you.

Just went back through my old footage. Kai needs you to exhaust his dialog about himself in Dawnshore.

I got offered training by Kai literally the 1st campfire I set up and I hadn't even killed a single mob with him in my party yet. It seems to be bugged.

Just before i beat the game i got the animancer to train me and got +2 int and +1 resolve.
