Is this game genuinely 15-17 hours max?
I don't mind shorter games, for the most part. But I DO mind when the game charges more than the standard AAA price yet can be beaten in a single sitting if I have a fully free day.

Has anyone finished the game, is it genuinely that short?

Mind you, if it's 15-17 hours just for the main quest but still has a bunch of side content, that hardly counts as being short... But reviews and How Long To Beat both claim the 17 hours is to 100% the game?

Edit: Well, feedback seems to indicate that roughly 30 hours is closer to what I can expect. But, it turns out I have free gamepass, so I'm gonna play the game either way. If it's literally free I can't complain about the length either way XD

I've completed every side quest, treasure map, totem hunt and pretty much all side-objectives in the first 2 zones and have only done about 2 side quests in the 3rd zone and I've clocked 44 hours. So there's absolutely no way you could 100% this game in 17 hours even skipping ALL dialogue.
Besides this isn't the kind of game you want to "speed-run" anyways. It's VERY lore heavy. And I love both Pillars 1 and 2 immensely so I've really enjoyed all of the exploring and discovering more about the world.
You'll definitely get your playtime in.
Anyway, no, the game is not something you'll be done with in an afternoon unless you bounce off it it or choose not to engage with it beyond beelining down the main story.

It is not a big open sandbox. But there is still a lot to do and to engage with.

No it might be that minimum if you rush the story and skip the dialogue. I'm at 35 hours and not done with the second zone yet

Avowed is longer than that if you don't just rush the main story and skip the dialogue. It's significantly longer than Skyrim if you just do that.

I spent 20 hours in the first zone. Combat, exploration, reading notes and talking to NPCs, done most quests.
Miro Fox 21 de fev. às 19:57

Remember the days of 100+ hour RPG's?
Pepperridge Farm remembers.

32hrs and not being able to go back is pathetic.

I’m playing on the hardest difficulty and after 30 hours I’m on the 3rd zone. I’m sure on normal/easy you could potentially beat the game in 15-20 hours. Which is still longer than any of the Cod Campaigns for the last 10 years lmao.

only bethesda games, and Final fantacy esc games were ever that long...

Dishonred for example, even though its bethesda is like 6 hours long...

Meanwhile me: With over 1,000 hours in Cyberpunk 2077 and the last 3 AC games lmao. (On xbox and pc not just here)

I'm around 30 hours in, and unless the game just abruptly ends without explaining the plot it's been building up to, there's a ways to go.

your probably near the end, what area are you in?
splinterwood101 21 de fev. às 20:20
i have 6 hours and i have only really explored the first side of the river in the first map. that probably because i'm slow and take my time. so far it is a good game.
