Avowed
$70? Nah.
Never have, never will. You can't even use the tried-and-true "packaging expenses" excuse for a PC game. No excuses.

So then do Game Pass.
The game was marketed for Game Pass for both PC and Xbox.
Pay $13, get 1 month, play game, beat game, unsubscribe from Game Pass

Or if it's your first time, there's a 14 day trial for literally $1
You can literally play the game for one dollar.

That's not really the point.
yeah , I mean I don't even bother to look at gamepass at all so. I guess those who know about gamepass would use it just to get a feel for any game that's on there.

It is though.
Like, let me lean in very uncomfortably close and look into your eyes. Right into your soul. No ♥♥♥♥.

They want you. To subscribe. To Game Pass.
That's probably why it's $70. To make you go "That's too expensive."

I see what you're saying. Your original post didn't seem at all like you were trying to make that point.

Pretty sure that's where everyone's playing it.
Literally everyone I know who's playing it is on gamepass, even streamers.

I only bought the game because I needed 5 extra days to play before Pirate Yakuza comes out in 2 days lol

But like folks are really not getting it.
Avowed literally can't fail even if no one bought it.
Budget was like, what, $50mil to 70mil range?

Gamepass subscribers are around 34mil
It's estimated half of them are Ultimate

This means Microsoft is making around 540 million dollars EVERY MONTH from Game Pass.
Microsoft probably footed the development costs of Avowed to put it on Game Pass in a deal.

Meaning Avoweds been paid for potentially 7-10 times over already in just one month.

The only one who could have potentially lose money was Microsoft.
And this is Microsoft we're talking
Third largest company in the world.

It's because console pricing integrating over to PC. Forspoken was the first one to do it, should blame them. Consider yourself lucky for just feeling it, I'm dumb enough to pay that every year just to play NHL for years now :BL3Shrug:
