I've been banned from the subreddit and I haven't even posted anything

I wanted to ask a queston on the sub this evening, but to my surprise I have been banned and haven't even make one post there yet. What's happening?

No, they muted me because I messaged the mods asking why they banned me. When you a muted, you can't message the mods anymore for any reason, and it has nothing to do with the bans. It just stops you from being able to communicate with them.

You must be an active Reddit user who is on a list that these people collect if you have ever expressed the 'wrong' opinions, so they can run a script to ban every naughty boy and girl guilty of 'wrong-think'.

The real concern here is why are you on Reddit in the first place? Do better please

I was banned as well from their subreddit from a single post agreeing with someone and adding in i wish they would leave out politics. Then got a PM from their moderator harassing me and calling me names. Then they locked the PM conversation. They appear to be very unprofessional and childish.

Yup, and you can't do anything about it. Mods of a subreddit have all the power and can use it however they want. Can't even report them to reddit. According to reddit themselves, they suggest finding another subreddit of similar topic. I can't even report anyone specific for calling me a white supremacist because it was done through the mod chat instead of the individual mod user account. And, as you saw, they can just stop you from completely being able to talk to anyone in messages. So, in a sense it is almost like a double ban.

Similar to mine. However, when I asked what policy I violated they replied calling me names and locking the PM conversation.
