My review after finishing the game
I played the game on Gamepass so I cannot put a proper review but I still wanted to share my thoughs.

Overall I gotta say is was pretty fun , the story was interesting enough and had me agonizing a lot over some choices during the game...specially near the end... it has a lot of narrative payoffs, and the companions are funny and interesting....I will really miss the campfire banter, It always had me smiling after one of those interactions.

Im aware a lot of people complained about ,most choices being meaningless, but I don't that's a bad thing if you start seeing the dialog options not as choices that will lead to different outcomes, but options on how you want your character to be in those context it starts to make sense... even if the outcome does not change (you often get a slighly different response though) you can roleplay as quite a bunch of different characters you can be a bookworm, a stoic person, somewhat funny or being an absolute a*hole if you want. I gotta admin it was kinda funny seeing Marius or Kai opening their hearts to me and sharing their vulnerabilities, just for me to be able to respond with something like "Yeah, I don't care, let's move on" XD.

The combat if fun, even though the enemy variety can be a little lacking and I honestly wish there were more and more different spells, having repeated spells with different elements cone of fire, then cone of ice, then cone of electricity... then AoE of fire, then AoE of electricity, then AoE of Ice.....It felt unimaginative....at least the spells did look quite different at least...

With that said, I enjoyed every fight until the last one....the spells felt great to use and the melee weapons set a new standard on how RPGs should handle melee combat.

The exploration was good, is always nice exploring the living lands, and suddenly hearing the chest nearby sound and having to look around where is hidden.

What I didn't like at all was the crafting... the most basic pick crap from a list an be done with it as fast as possible thing imaginable... I was heartbroken because I really liked making food in other games like Divinity Original Sin... and here it all felt boring and uninteresting even though I had tons of materials I always ended up making the thing that heals 70 hp and mp, and the thing that heals 150 hp...overall pretty dissapointing... the crafting is more of the same... basic linear upgrade system with no customization besides the extremely limited enchantment system.... very much by the numbers

Overall I had fun with the game... the story was good, the characters were good, the combat had some issues but it was enjoyable none the less....

Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

In general it's a pretty good game, cleansing my palate with some other genres before going back and start my PotD playthrough.

I enjoyed the game too, had some fun with it.
I just finished the game and I enjoyed it quite a bit. The exploration was phenomenal, the combat was solid and fun, and the story was decent enough for the adventure game that it was. I have so few complaints they aren't even worth mentioning. I am glad I played it on Gamepass, so I didn't pay $70 for it, but I'd pay 40-50 for this without flinching.
