Should I give the Adra to Sapiento?

I don't get this quest. Why wouldn't I just keep it for myself? isn't it a rare material for upgrading? What is the trade off?

The Adra you give him isn't an item out of your crafting materials. Its an item that you get from an NPC as part of a quest to specifically give to him
