Avowed
Avowed needs a better mini map.
For a game all about exploration the lack of a detailed map is annoying. I can't even tell you how many times i'm going back and forth between the actual game and the map while exploring.

If your just going through the story its probably ok, but if your trying to 100% explore every area and collect everything, its such a chore when it doesn't even have to be.

Give us a mini map that at least has the fog of war on it so i have a little guidance when exploring new areas.

Best exploration experience (I'm not kidding): Turn OFF the minimap, the compass and the loot shimmer. You will actually look at the world and go from there. Try it.

Hmm thanks for the advice, never even considered that.
I basically can't use the minimap for navigation. I hate ones that shift the compass relative to you as opposed to having the direction be fixed.

I've always wondered why this is, and I think it's because I try to figure out where I need to go based on the map, which is always directionally fixed. So the minimap rotating is very disorienting based on the map I try to have in my mind.

It's interesting that the game has so many customization/QoL/accessibility/etc options in the game menu, which is awesome, but I looked through the Game options, UI options, and Accessibility options (because in the very least, maybe a spinning mini-map could cause motion sickness? idk) for the one setting to make the mini-map static and thought I was looking past it or something and, nope, it's simply not there. If the ordinal direction indicators were a little more visible, it might not be so bad, or perhaps if there were only one, but I often lose track of the slightly larger North-facing diamond and turn myself around, because in games with mini-maps there usually exists an option to make it spin or static. I'm surprised this option was omitted. I have, indeed, considered turning it off altogether and learning my way around the old fashioned way lol. I played Morrowind, and can manage lol. Good luck OP!
I want to lock the compass! I do this for every game, however, it is not an option.

I can use it, however, I would prefer to lock it, I do this for every game that has a mini map and compass. Maybe we will get a patch or MOD.

I open every 1-2 minutes the map. This break the immersion. A good minimap would be better.

Please add an option for fixed mini map. It is so much easier to use!
Came to say this. Or Google if I couldn’t find the setting. At least the fog of war part. KOTOR had it in their minimap and it came out what, nearing 25 years ago? At least a setting would be monumental.

Why would you 100% explore the areas?
When you do every bounty/quest, you'll most likely find almost everything.

Someone knows this who hasn't played the game before?

I feel the same.
I hate this because I also have a need to explore all corners and seeing the fog on the minimap would be nice, same way as other games do it.

But it's kinda the way it naturally works, you can branch off and explore early or wait till a Bounty/Quest leads you near the area.

I too am eagerly awaiting a patch to fix the minimap. It's basically useless. I just find myself opening and closing the regular map hundreds of times per play session. Which is kind of jarring in game but oh well, no other way to figure out where I'm going!

I'm hoping a mod can maybe fix this asap since its ue5.

I'm not finding that at all, there's a ton of optional exploration
