Avowed Revenue Breakdown
1. Despite being on Game Pass, Avowed only shows about 15k–17k concurrent Steam players: much lower than similar RPGs.

2. With a $100–$150M budget, these active numbers hint at underwhelming sales.

3. Game Pass pays a fixed fee per play, so each subscriber play brings in much less revenue than a direct purchase.

4. A $70 price tag on Steam may be turning potential buyers away, driving more players to Game Pass instead.

5. Compared to RPGs like STALKER 2 or Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Avowed is struggling to secure a competitive foothold. STALKER 2 was present on Game Pass on release day and still hit 120k players on day one.

How much Avowed made:

On Steam, Avowed's roughly 100k unit sales at $70 each brings in about $7M gross. After a 30% Steam cut, that's roughly $4.9M net. For Game Pass, it is assumed Xbox Game Pass pays $0.12 per hour of play, if we assume revenue equivalent to another 100k direct sales, that’s an extra ~$4–$5M or if we assumy 50k direct sales, that's only ~$1–$2M. Overall, Avowed might be pulling in roughly $5M–$10M total, which is only 1/10th of its estimated budget.

Avowed only made 1/10th of its budget.

Why would MS pay for Gamepass when they own the studio? Where are you even getting this stuff from?
I agree with most points but estimates tend to place the budget in the 80-100M range

Massive succes. For the haters.
Microwoke hasn't released total count of gamescam accounts in over a year. That means it's stale, otherwise, they would release it to raise their stock price and give investors confidence in the product. Gamescam also, as of last year's microwoke publication about counts, was at less than 1% of total steam accounts.

You have zero evidence about steam sales. That information is not published.

You clearly don't understand how gamepass works. the whole point of gamepass is to spread the money around, so no one game needs to have all the sales. They had a revenue of $2.9 billion 4 years ago already, and by now it'll be even more as they have millions more subs.
So it doesn't matter at all how many sales were on Steam. Any sales here is a bonus basically. MS is funding games from gamepass income, not steam sales.

You don't understand how gamescam works. it works exactly the same as streaming services. licenses are purchased to support the peak player count at a discount, NOT full price. excluding microwoke being the publisher for this turd, publishers are making a small fraction on gamescam. this is exactly why publishers are pulling out and exactly why their counts are stale and haven't been publicly reported in over 1 year.

Cope all you want. a public company not releasing current numbers only leads to one thing.

Yes, that is the range of development budget, from most estimates. Marketing costs typically add about ~40% of development budget to that, and we all know the shills and game journos all took a turn at the Microsoft spigot for this turd.

Gamepass making Microsoft Billions. Steam sales irrelevant. This game just got thousands more to subscribe. Score in a big way.

Marketing adds almost half to the pre-marketing budget? What statistic are you basing this from? You're suggesting that if a game such as this, which is hyped to be a 100M budget, you're saying microwoke spent around 40M in marketing? What are you smoking?

I can't say a solid % but companies do this all the time. Disney has done it with its own IP "renting" from their own businesses to move money around. When the numbers come out MS probably will have "paid" more for a game from their own studio then they would another. (Rough exaggerated example) it for when they go to their investors and say the game made 100m it's first month while not telling them they paid 90m of it.

Guy, publishers are pulling out in droves from gamescam. You guys cope far too much. gamescam is going down in flames with xbox. fact. microscam purchased all these publishers so they don't have to deal with the 'pullout' effect.

People work with numbers they don't know all the time, including yourself. They're called 'estimates', you might have heard of them.
