And my steam deck can run it natively with low settings and FSR just fine too (Albeit with the occasional low 20 dip)
Sounds like user error.
User error on a fresh install? Doubt it. I freshly installed, with no mods. and all i get is "fatal error"
To boot, ive even verified files as well. and no file corruption..
got one last trick, and then its refund button
Why would it be user error?
Steam is simple as hell, ive never had this level of errors a google couldnt fix if it was user error.
Click download, let it download, hit play. game should run fine provided your system requirements are sufficent enough to run a game no?
you tell me why its user error. ive verified files, re downloaded, reinstalled. and suddenly steam doesnt seem to see that i have 800gb free on one of my ssd's
Does the game not start at all or does it only crash when you load your save? Broken save file is something that can definitely happen if you save a game with mods installed and then load the game without those mods.
Problem is on launch all i get is "fatal error" about ue-alabama or whatever its called. i never had this problem on original install, Its only happened on subsequent installs..
ah, finally someone asking the problem,
Originally on first install the game ran fine, i tried to use the nexus reshade, But it broke the game originally, then subsequently it had diskwrite errors all night, untill i fixed that problem, and eventually reinstalled when i went to bed.
Checked in the morning before work because i wanted to just play standard avowed, without mods (using nexus mods) and upon launch i get the splash screen photo, screen goes black like its loading game. then gets "fatal error" im trying to move it back to the original SSD it worked on last night now that ive fixed that one, so its kind of a last-last-last resort. but the game takes two hours to download.
I couldnt afford the 3k rig either, But being 32 and working full time, i saved for two years to afford a new rig.
prior to my 3k rig i was using an i7 5820k/gtx1070. I aint rich man i saved for ages to build this thing.
And for that matter, how did you install them in the first place?
Damn :(It was worth a try :( Although I already thought that it wasn't a corrupt save file because there probably aren't any very complex mods for this Game. You could try manually deleting the data under AppData\Local\Alabama\Saved and then reinstalling the game, but I doubt that will help.
