i enjoy video games, just was expecting more content from playing their other titles.
I'm confused. Why would you expect multiplayer based on the fact that Avowed is in the PoE world?
PoE and PoE2:Deadfire were both single-player games.

And it's also not a crpg so you don't have a party, you have companions like you tend to do in these games.
I don't really understand why any of this would be surprising or strange
