Obsidian is about to do a Bioware

How the mighty have fallen, remember when Obsidian/Black Isle and Bioware were both the go to places for RPG and story.

Between all the stories coming out about Avowed (Janky and the problems with the Art Director) and Bioware most recent disaster in Dragon Age Veilguard both companies are looking dicey, Bioware is currently being gutted with all their writing team fired and Avowed looks to be dragging Obsidian through the mud, though at least Obsidian might turn it around with The Outer Worlds 2 at the end of the year. So fingers crossed for that.

Oh well, at least we still have Larian!

Yes, but BG3 has amazing DEPTH. Depth Avowed can only dream of.

Depth like that takes real effort and commitment.

I see no sign of that in the game-play footage of Avowed so far. In fact, quite the opposite. Avowed's UI looks 'made for console'.

The Dev team of Larian clearly cared about quality FIRST ..... and pronouns etc. as a distant 72nd or 73rd.

You get the feeling that quite a few of THIS current Obsidian dev team... are just a bunch of pronoun warriors who are more passionate about that ... than actually about making an outstanding RPG.

BG3 was a great game. It always gives you a CHOICE on what you want to do. You cant say the same for trash games like Veilguard, that stuff is so blatantly in your faces is shocking.

Remember old school Mass Effect? Yea, you could bang dudes in that game too, but guess what, it gave you a choice on what you want to do and I could just say "nope". Forcing opinions or ideology on people though... not a fan of that. The games that do will flop and everything will return to the good ol days... God I hope...

How is BG3 gay ? I never seen anything gay in my game.

Avowed is not out yet, what are people basing their views on? I'm not saying it is good I just want to see some evidence the game is bad. The price is very high for sure!

The outer worlds 1 wasn't even that good, i can't imagine 2 will be any better.

From everything I've heard from colleagues who are doing the Review, Avowed has a lot of depth and is reminiscent of a child between Skyrim and Baldurs Gate 3. I'll be waiting very excitedly on the 13th.

Especially since the game hasnt released yet and yet somehow they totally know what it will be like

As the wisdom goes "You pressed that button, you weren't forced to see gay sex, but you chose to have gay sex."

Most of the AAA studio's we loved are dead as the people that made them so beloved have been gone for years from the studio. They are basically a husk of a studio with only their name to back them up but no actual talent left anymore in the studio. I mean if veilguard is the best you can do after 10 years of dev time, your done, as it had worse gameplay than some ps2 games.
